There was a period of time in the 1990s when pez dispensers were worth more, gram-for-gram, than cocaine or even gold. During this magical time, a small town farmer and factory worker lived his wildest dreams, smuggling pez dispensers into the USA from Eastern Europe and making millions of dollars. It was all wonderful until his arch-nemesis, the Pezident, decided to destroy him.

He also directed the ESPN 30-for-30 film The Bad Boy of Bowling and an Emmy-nominated episode of HBO’s State of Play. Amy Bandlien Storkel is a documentary filmmaker best known for co-producing The Legend of Cocaine Island (Netflix 2019) and the Emmy Award Winning documentary, Alabama Snake (HBO 2020). The Pez Outlaw is her directorial debut.
