SchulRoadShow enters its 5th round

Film Festival Kitzbuehel will be taking place for the seventh time this summer and will be bringing young, talented directors and their films back to Kitzbuehel.

One of the goals of Film Festival Kitzbuehel has always been to take the films directly to the people and present to them international stories that are not necessarily shown at local cinemas.

In order to implement this plan throughout the year and to follow its educational mission, FFKB launched the “SchulRoadShow” in 2015. In this context, we visit schools of the region with a selected film and hold screenings with subsequent film talks. The students are also informed about the topics of film piracy and illegal streaming during these talks.

The films shown are the documentary award winners from the previous year, which the students are able to watch for free at the “SchulRoadShow”. With this initiative we want to bring a younger audience in contact with unconventional, thought-provoking films and generate a discourse that helps the young people to an independent and, above all, informed confrontation with substantive high-quality material.

After having shown Hommeless (by Thomas Wirthensohn), Unversöhnt (by Lukas Augustin) and Raving Iran (by Susanne Regine Meures) in the past, we are especially happy this year to present Bruder Jakob, schläfst du noch? by Stefan Bohun to the students.
