Dear friends of the Kitzbühel Film Festival!
On Thursday, August 3, the Hahnenkamm parking lot will be transformed into a giant outdoor cinema – the best open-air film quality and an unforgettable movie experience are guaranteed with the new location. In the run-up to the festival, the Kitzbühel Film Festival team is pleased to present the premiere of the latest Eberhofer crime thriller “Rehragout Rendezvous” starring Sebastian Bezzel and Simon Schwarz.

Director Ed Herzog, screenwriter Stefan Betz and producer Kerstin Schmidbauer continue the successful Eberhofer film series and bring the cosmos of bestselling author Rita Falk to the big screen with their usual dry humor. In “Rehragout-Rendezvous” the cozy village order in Niederkaltenkirchen is shaken: Grandma goes on strike, Susi rules and Franz is demoted to sandpit policeman. Nevertheless, the murders continue with reliable Lower Bavarian regularity. Trailer Rehragout Rendezvous

Before the party starts at 9:30 pm. in the Hahnenkamm parking lot, a DJ will set the mood. Food trucks invite you to feast on culinary delights – the perfect way to get in the mood for the new Eberhofer thriller, starting at 7:30 pm.

Eberhofer premiere as a brilliant foretaste of the 11th film festival
From August 21 to 27, 2023, the Kitzbühel Film Festival will transform the entire town into a meeting place for filmmakers, industry representatives and cinema enthusiasts. This year’s competition, with around 50 feature films, documentaries and short films, is once again dedicated to the work of young Austrian and international directors.
The 11th Kitzbühel Film Festival (FFKB) will be officially opened on August 22nd. In addition to the Filmtheater Kitzbühel, the “Kino in der Stadt”, the “Autokino” and the “Kino am Berg” on the Kitzbüheler Horn are among the festival’s most unusual venues. From open-air screenings under the motto “Comedy in the City” to classic screenings, from the drive-in cinema to the cinema on the mountain: before the big awards ceremony on August 26th, the focus will once again be on the shared film experience.
The FFKB 2023 program will be published on July 11 at www.ffkb.at. From this date on, tickets will also be available in our online shop.
