During the summer, Kitzbuehel’s guests will be able to experience very special movie highlights in the city center at the newly founded FFKB Cinema in the City – with free admission!

The FFKB Cinema in the City will hit it off with a very special show right from the start: The Austrian premiere of Flucht durchs Höllental by Marcus O. Rosenmüller will be shown exclusively on our open-air screen!

In the TV thriller, popular actor Hans Sigl, who we all know as „Bergdoktor“,  shows a completely different side, when he plays a Munich defense lawyer who has to witness the abduction of his daughter in the Tyrolean mountains.

The second Cinema in the City date will be another extraordinary experience for the spectators. With Hubert von Goisern – Brenna tuat’s schon lang Film Festival Kitzbuehel will bring a film to the city that was selected to coincide with the music festival taking place in the same week. The documentary offers a comprehensive insight into the life and work of exceptional artist Hubert von Goisern, both on and off the stage, and invites you to sing along and dance, as well as to reflect.

Directed by: Marcus H. Rosenmüller | Co-produced by Langbein & Partner Media with Blanko Musik, in cooperation with ORF (Film-Fernsehabkommen) and Bayrischer Rundfunk, funded by Österreichisches Filminstitut, Land Oberösterreich, Land Salzburg and Film-Fernsehfonds Bayern.

The last Cinema in the City open-air screening will be held as part of Film Festival Kitzbuehel. Which film will be shown will be announced at the official program release in July, but so much may already be revealed: You can look forward to a very special surprise and an exclusive film event!
